Architecture for Exhibition
Architecture for Exhibition was a 10 week high- level training course at YACademy in Bologna, Italy, whereby Christine had the opportunity to attend in- person lectures and workshops with industry professionals from some of the top architecture and design studios. Here she was able to improve her skills in relation to exhibition design, museographic design, visual display design and communication. Together with four other students, all from different parts of the world, she worked on the design of a proposed contemporary art exhibition for the Fondazione Prada in Milan. The brief required that the project define a modular, scalable and replicable system, one that is able to support the most varied needs of the Fondazione Prada, in the form of exhibitions, performances, events, etc. The project was required to prioritize self- supporting solutions, seek financial sustainability, look for iconic characteristics and values in terms of design, to make a contribution in terms of communication and image. The intervention was intended to be easy to setup and dismantle, in order to be placed in other contexts and/or locations. It was imperative for the project to have distinct features of environmental compatibility and be designed with the aim of making the world of installations more sustainable. The design workshop was supervised by Giulio Rigoni from BIG | Bjarke Ingels Group.
