The Kaleidoscope

During her third year of her Bachelors of Architectural Studies, Open Theatre City was a design competition set by PG Bison, whereby the brief proposed the design of an open- air cinema for the Bioscope, a small existing independent cinema based in the Maboneng precinct in downtown Johannesburg. The allocated site of the new cinema is in between four supporting columns underneath the Silverwright Avenue bridge on Berea Road, which was to remain a serviceable road from 02:00 - 19:00 Monday to Friday, thereafter the full extent of the road could be utilized.
