Row House

During her second year of her Bachelors of Architectural Studies, Christine designed a row house typology in response to group fieldwork conducted in Rosettenville, Johannesburg, which was done in relation to the Corridors of Freedom strategy being implemented in the City of Johannesburg. The strategy suggests the design of well- planned transport arteries that are linked to interchanges where the focus will be on mixed- use development, high density accommodation, supported by office buildings, retail development and opportunities for leisure and recreation. This is in order for residents to live closer to their workspace and have the ability to work, stay and play without having to use public motorized transport.
